Description
The shiur, in honor of the Ramak's yahrtzeit, explores how Pinchas's killing of Zimri — done not from hatred but from ahavas Yisrael — earned him both the kehunah and the neshama of Eliyahu HaNavi, and explains this through the secret of Parah Adumah: מטהר טמאים ומטמא טהורים, whereby a tzaddik descending from a rasha (like Rabi Akiva from Zimri, and also from Haman) serves as that rasha's ultimate tikkun rather than his reward. It shows why specifically Rebbi Akiva and Eliyahu were needed — Rebbi Akiva because his own chiddush of זה כלל גדול בתורה establishes that even a Rasha must ultimately be included in tikkun, and Eliyahu because a Rasha is considered "dead," requiring an inyan of תחיית המתים to restore him. The same yesod resolves how Korach's use of Parah Adumah against Moshe coincided with Moshe using that very inyan to secretly arrange Shmuel's future shidduch with Korach's descendants, paralleling how Hashem engineered Klal Yisrael's Purim salvation even while they sinned at Achashveirosh's feast.
